Why Rockhampton?

A Regional Centre With More Than One Engine

Rockhampton is the service centre for a large part of Central Queensland. CQUniversity is headquartered here, Rockhampton Hospital serves the region, and the city is a hub for the beef industry, the resources sector and defence training at nearby Shoalwater Bay.

The $1.98 billion Rockhampton Ring Road, jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, is building a 17.4-kilometre western link for the Bruce Highway, with improved flood resilience. Main works started in mid-2025, with bridge works over the Fitzroy River scheduled to 2028.

Where we look

Regional Markets Need Extra Care

Regional cities can deliver strong rental yields, but they can also swing with a single industry, as Queensland’s mining towns showed. We look for diverse jobs, steady population growth, tight vacancy rates and new homes in established growth areas such as the northern suburbs and Gracemere, where both tenants and future buyers will want to be.

New builds in Rockhampton

Why We Favour New Over Established

Anyone can buy a property. We help identify property worthy of your investment dollars. For most investors, that means a new build:

  • Stronger cash flow and higher depreciation
  • Lower maintenance and a builder’s warranty
  • Rent that reflects a modern, energy-efficient home
  • The ten-year rule: a new home stays ten years younger than the house next door, including when you sell
